A Voice Speaking

Her voice seemed like such a powerful force,
With a tone sharper and louder, people would turn their heads to her
But she didn't want that.
She wanted to be alone and by herself in her own little cardboard box.

She softened the tone of her voice, lowered the volume,
And became a tiny whisper in a multitude of dissonant voices.
She was accepted as the girl who kept to herself,
And she felt content with how things were.

One day, her soul examined itself,
And realized what now became of her.
She was someone else caught in a tangle of silent lies,
She had turned into a nobody.

As she talked quietly about this to herself,
Her voice grew louder, and stronger.
She escaped to the wilderness, and made dizzying circles among
the swaying trees,
And the shrieks of delight escaping from her mouth could be
heard all over the world.
