The Cauldron




The cauldron is the symbol of the Goddess. 
Usually made of cast iron, it needs to be able to 
within stand heat, and it is a traditional tool 
from the Old Religion. The cauldron is 
used for many things such as making brews,
 food, soaps, incense, oils, etc.






The Broom




The broom is used to sweep an area clean of negative energy. 
It is a a symbol for a female Witch and represents her
vehicle for traveling into dreamtime. Brooms are a 
marvelous instruments of protection on the the front 
or back of an entrance to a dwelling.






The Chalice




The chalice is the symbol of emotion and fertility. 
It is commonly used dediction and initiation 
ceremonies, holiday rituals to honor the Gods/Goddesses,
and certain spells. Chalices are long-stemmed and can be
made from metals, wood, clay as long as they are 
food-safe.The chalice has an anicent history dating back 
to kings and queens. In rituals of traditional times, 
the cup represents the female and the athame represents 
the male.






The Wand




The wand serves to project your energy to a certain
place, thing, person, or dimension. Wands can be made 
of wood or copper insulated by leather. A wooden wand
should be used from a tree in your own area that will
keep you in harmony with the land around you. Wands are
often tipped with crytals, pine cones, or knobs akin
to phallic symbols. It is a tool that is often passed 
down from Witch to Witch. Also, wands traditionally 
stand for communication and matters of business.






Bells



 
Bells can be rung in specific rituals to calls the spirit
like chants.They also represent the air elements.






The Bolline




The bolline is a tool for cutting things in the physical
realm. It is a type of knife with a curved handle, most
often white. Used for harvesting herbs, wands, plants,
cutting cord, inscribing on candles, etc. Many Witches
used the bolline for more than just preparing food in
their personal magickal practices.






The Athame




The athame or sword is used for commanding and manipulating
power. This knife is a double-edged and dull as it does
NOT cut anything in the physical plane. It is for directing
energy in a realm where real knives are useless. 
Commonly these knives are black-handled, although this 
is not a rule, some Witches prefer to use swords. 
The wand and the athame are interchangeable. The different 
is  like asking someone that kind of computer they 
prefer to use PC or MAC, it's a matter of style and 
preference, then actual reasoning. The athame stands for intellect, 
right thinking,and calculation.






The Rattle




The rattle like a bell can call spirits and it also 
can drive away spirits. It can be used to call or honor 
air elements, most offen it represents the earth 
element of life, the snake.








The Censer




The censer is a container in which incense is burned. 
The incense burner's function is to purify your home, 
altar and yourself.Smudging, burning incense/herbs 
and covering whom ever or what ever area with smoke 
usually with the directional help of a feather, can 
be used as a part of your household cleaning.
There are several kinds of burners for the variety 
of incense shapes.
