This historic cabin in Powder Springs, GA was nearly destroyed to make way for yet another shopping center in the Marietta area. Fortunately, the most recent tenants of the home began taking the house apart and proved to local officials that the inner walls of the house were actually a pre-Civil War log cabin. Historical Society officials became interested (with the help of a local newspaper reporter) and the cabin was declared an historic home. Reports of ghosts in the home have been around for years.
This area of the cabin was a bedroom and bathroom. The father of one of the residents passed away here. The family says that shortly after the father's passing, the shower came on by itself. All of the family members thought someone really WAS in the shower, and no one checked the bathroom until it seemed the shower had been on for an unreasonable period of time. Who was in the shower? The family says it was the father; it would have been just like him to die, take a shower and leave!
"There are things belonging to the eternities
of which you've but lately heard:
Things of the past; things of the present;
things yet to be.
Oh, break these worldly wings
so I may finally fly..."
