Camera Strap Experiment


(With all due respect to those who have taken legitimate

vortex photos without a camera strap present!)




The above three photos (as well as the photo you clicked on to get to this page) were purposely taken to find out what a BLACK camera strap would look like if it "accidentally" got in the shot. The result: the strap looks a lot like the anomaly sometimes mistaken for a vortex in paranormal photography. In the third photograph, the boy is actually visible through the camera strap. There are some very credible paranormal investigators out there who have taken AUTHENTIC vortex photos sans camera straps. Sharon Gill's Seller's Arts and Crafts store photo shown on the IGHS Ghost Web site (see the GHHT Haunted Links Page) is one such example of a real vortex photo.

Members of the GHHT do not use camera straps during investigations. Period.
