30 JANUARY 
SUNDAY 		 VISIT AT LEAST 50 TOMBS BEFORE CALLING IT A DAY
A walk to visit over sixty tombs of Classical Malta in one day.
Meeting Place:-  Mgarr Church  at 8.40 am 
6 FEBRUARY
SUNDAY 		 GHAJN TUFFIEHA ROMAN BATHS
The archaeologist Mr. Joe Magro Conti, will be the guide through this site.

Activities for the March - May provisionally include :-
 
 
11/12 MARCH Visit to the Mdina Cathedral or Wignacourt Museum will be followed by abseiling
26 MARCH Visit to Ghar il-Kbir, Clapham Junction and nearby Punic Tombs
9 APRIL  Walk along the Victoria Lines
29 APRIL - 1 MAY Gozo Tour
21 MAY  Visit to the  Hypocaust at Falka Gap and the Ghajn Klieb punic tombs
 
Roman Catacomb at the Wignacourt Museum, Rabat

Members of the GAM, volunteered for the initial clearing of a catacomb found in the premises of the Wignacourt Museum. Two saddle-tombs, a window tomb, an agape table and the original entrance of the catacomb were uncovered after clearing of the rubble gathered during the digging of the nearby World War II shelters. An underlying soil infill was left undisturbed and the continuation of the investigation now handed over to the Museum authorities.(Internet Provisional report of the group's work will soon appear.)
 

GAM Datatbase

The group intends to set up a database of videos,  photographs and other sources of information on the local archaeological heritage.  These will hopefully be used in discussions and activities organised for the members. Anyone having material which might be of interest can contact the committee members.
