Legion XIV

Get ready. Get Set. Because England's Legion XIV is coming to Florida State Forum. These Roman historical performers are made up of two men and women . They will be giving military demonstrations and lectures on Roman life.

Officers Planfor State

Last year, during the month of September, George W. Bush and A1 Gore campaigned, while the 20002001 F JCL officers planned for the 52nd State Forum. The new Millennium will bring some changes to the Florida Forum. Several additions to the Forum include the Venus and Adonis Contest, a semiformal birthday celebration of Rome, and seminars given by England's Legion XIV (which you can read about on the previous page).
Fueled by sugar and caffeine the officers planned and prepared for of the 2001 forum. Carrine Cuculich, Parliamentarian suggested a Venus and Adonis contest. This is a contest similar to 1999 National's Mister and Miss JCL. Another addition taken from the National Forum, is the semiformal dance on the last night. This dance entitled Romecoming (in honor of Rome's birthday) will require slacks and ties for the guys, and skirts, dresses, or dress pants for the the girls. Due to the restrictions of the Twin Towers, an Olympika composed of relay games will be used (Sorry folks no chariot races this year). On the brighter side SCL's That's Entertainment will return along with the scavenger hunt and all the usual tests and contests.
Those who desire to run for state office, will want to prepare well for the open candidate forum. The present officers plan to drill the candidates so the officers know the candidates are serious about F JCL.
So make your maps, practice your orations, and start packing your bags for the 2001 Florida Forum.
