Jaguars
Jaguars were once found in an area ranging from Arizona to Argentina. Today
they are mostly found in South America. These species are rather large
animals. Their length ranges from 44 to 73 inches and their tail is 18
to 30 inches long. The males weigh anywhere from 125 to 250 pounds and
the females are 100 to 200 pounds. Jaguars diet consists of forest animals
varying in size from mice to deer. It also eats frogs, fish, turtles and
small alligators. Enemies to the jaguar are man. They have hunted the jaguar
almost to extinction because of their beautiful fur. A natural predator
would only prey on the real young or the real old jaguars.
