The Squirrel Monkey
The squirrel monkey is a small monkey that
is about
two feet tall and weighs around ten pounds. It has many assorted colors
on its body such as orange, green, white, and brown.
This specific monkey is found in the rainforest
of Central and South America and in Costa Rica. The monkey stays in the
canopy layer a section in the rain forest, which is mostly all trees.
That is where he gets his food such as small insects and bright colorful
fruits.
Its predators consist of such animals
as hawks and other meat eating birds. Another interesting fact is
this particular monkey swings by its hands instead of it’s tail!
