The Roman's Road to Salvation

We are all sinners, both the saved and the unsaved.
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

We are condemned to eternal life in Hell as a result of our sin.
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:12 - "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned."

The penalty for our sins was paid by Jesus Christ on the cross.
Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

If we believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him, God will save us.
Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Romans 10:9,10 - "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

God loves us beyond all measure.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Eternal life can not be purchased, it can only be received as a gift.
Ephesians 2:8,9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast."

God's Plan of Salvation

In the beginning, God and man were not separated by sin, and had a right relationship together.

Man sinned, and the separation occurred, for a perfect, holy God cannot dwell with sin.

Man had to pay the penalty of death for the sin he had committed.

God, who is loving and just, sent his son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for us.

His death on the cross bridges the gap of justice between us and God, enabling us to have a right relationship with Him once again.

Only by repenting of our sin and believing in the sacrifice Jesus made in our place can we personally restore our relationship with God. If we fail to accept Jesus' sacrifice, then we are doomed to pay penalty for our own sin, and spend eternity in a literal hell.

There is hope! Jesus Christ is the answer!
