Title: The Song of God: Bhagavad-Gita

Author: Swami Prabhavananda, Christopher Isherwood (Translator)
Info: Availability: This title usually ships within 24 hours. Reissue Edition Mass Market Paperback Published by New American Library Publication date: July 1993
Synopsis:
The Roam'n Church: This translation and commentary of the Gita is perhaps my favorite. It has the same transliteration, translation and commentary layout as Shrila Prabhupada's (see below), yet is, in my opinion, truer to the sense of Indian spirituality and the ancient Sanatana Dharma. Those who love the ISKCON version but are wary of some of the purports should be very pleased with this one!

Synopsis:
The Roam'n Church: A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada was one of my most influential and beloved spiritual teachers and his translation and commentary on this ancient classic remains one of the most respected around the world. Some of his purports are a bit sectarian in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition which he introduced to the western world. At this price one cannot go wrong!
