I started my web site last year soon after I was diagnosed with FMS. It began as a source for basic information on the disorder, and I have since added a personal story (the obligatory How-I-Came-To-Have-FMS tale) and a link to Danhjeun Breathing Exercises.
The breathing exercise page was added after discussion on the alt.med.fibromyalgia newsgroup about a need for nonmedicinal methods of pain control. A fellow martial artist helped with the site information, and my son modeled for numerous photographs to show breathing positions. We hope that at least some people will find these useful in pain and stress reduction.

My site is filled with Mythic art, poetry and beautiful music. I also have pages in progress on Chronic Pain Syndrome. I have had Chronic Pain for the last four years due to a spinal injury. The pages that I have created are an outlet for me. Each represents a part of me, a different side of me. My life has changed dramatically due to Chronic Pain but this has been the best therapy I've had. I have met wonderful people on the internet and all understand that I can't sit at the computer for any length of time.

I am a 47 yr.old mother of 4. Married to a wonderful man, Aurele, for 26yrs. Have suffered with FM and osteoarthritis for the past 8 yrs. I am a crafter, sewer, artist and overall down to earth person. I love making new friends and am fairly new to the computer(since Oct./97) I have found that by pacing myself and sticking to a regular sleep pattern, that I can cope quite well. Off all meds due to liver problems.

Adventures with Autoimmue Diseases is written for those suffering and for those searching for help understanding and coping with Connective tissue diseases and Autoimmune diseases. Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Raynauds, Sjogren's Syndrome are some of the terms I had to learn and research after I was dx'ed in '96. My symptoms confused most doctors and rheum's to the point several gave up on me. I am still on my search for help and spreading the word about all these mysterious illnesses so that maybe someday a cure will be found. Adventures in My Life, is my story about my history and search for help continuing with updates to be added as I learn more and things change. Adventure was the best word to fit my site because I have taken what other have actually said, and posted their words for others to read. Realizing that your not alone is one of the biggest and most comforting things that can come to you if you suffer with one of these diseases. My life has been greatly blessed by the family I have met on the internet. It is my life line.
