Murabitun Worldwide Movement

The Murabitun are Muslims who are actively working towards the establishment of Allah's Deen and in particularly the reestablishment of the pillar of Zakat.

It is important that all Muslims know and understand some of the following fundamental points concerning 'Economics' and the Deen of Islam.

• 'Islamic Economics' is a misnomer. Properly speaking we as Muslims have Halal transactions. The Qur'anic term is 'bay'a - buying and selling,i.e.trade. This leads to other types of transactions such as loans,rental or hiring, partnerships,etc.
  Economics should be understood as a catch term for the system of Riba -Usury, since it is inherent in the present 'Economic' system that is is in place around the world. By present economic system we mean the use of paper money as a means of exchange.

• Amirate - Amirate is a necessity for collection of Zakat as well as the establishment of the Markets and fair trade. The Amir is the Guarantor of the trust among people. He governs and judges in the event of a dispute. He sees that the boundaries of the Shari'a are protected.

• The Islamic Market - The Market is like the Masjid.
  The Messenger of Allah, salallahu alayhi wa sallam, said "Markets should follow the same Sunnah as the Masajids - whoever gets his place first has the right to it until he gets up and goes back to his house or finishes his selling"
  The Islamic Market is where fair trading takes place. Monopolies and all other forms of usury are prohibited.

• Contracts - The use of Islamic contracts eliminates the presence of Usury from commercial agreements allowing equity to exists in transactions.
