The Goddess Tiamat

The Goddess Tiamat is a very ancient and secretive deity.  She is of Babylonian descent is thought to be the daughter of Chaos.  There are no pictures of her beyond faded reliefs in old Babylonian temples, so I have taken the liberty of choosing a suitably fierce personification for her. According to legend, her son, Marduk, slew her to make the sky & the earth. Without her, there would be nothing.

My worship of her stems from her fierceness and her guardian nature.  Dragons are reknown for their hoarding of jewels, treasures, and books.  I transferred that sterling quality onto Tiamat's ability to guard her wayward (and often destructive) charges:  humans.
