What is Art Docent?

"Art Docent" is an art enrichment program that is part of the curriculum for grades 4-6. Parent volunteers act as docents. Each classroom has a docent(s) that visits once a month. Using a curriculum workbook, docents do a presentation on great works of art and lead the class in a project. Art reproductions are displayed with a discussion and followed by an art project for the students to create.
