On June 4, 2000, the Lakers played against the Blazers and beat them!
In
the last quarter they were losing by 16 points. Suddenly the
Lakers caught
up and won. Amazing! Now they are going to play the Pacers.
We think the
Lakers are going to win the Championships!! Go
Lakers!!!
STARCRAFT (BATTLE.NET) by Andy, Jad, & Wyatt
The three of us play Starcraft on our computers using the Internet.
We can
play other people and now we can talk to them too! We can play at anytime,
any day of the week. We recently joined a clan, the Majestic
Warriors.
You should try playing, too. We'll see you in cyberspace!
GLENDALE SKATE PARK by Chris & Steven
The Glendale Skate park has a four foot half pipe, a mini fun box, quarter
pipes, and grinding rails. It is for free, but you have to sign
a slip.
The Skate park is open seven days a week! Monday through Friday
and Sunday
is free skate, but Saturday has special times for 12 year olds and
younger
as well as for older skate boarders. Remember, you have to wear a helmet
and pads. Skate Safe!!
School's out
What a shout!
No more tests,
I think I'll take a rest!
No more homework--
I won't work with a smirk.
Camping, Shopping,
What a day!
After that,
I'll go out and play!
Oh dear, oh dear!
What about next year?
KNOTTS BERRY FARM by Rebecca, Jayme, Paige, and Amy
Hey, guess what? The fifth graders are going to Knotts Berry Farm
on June
9,2000. We are going to learn about historical figures and places.
We
will have lots of fun learning new things. We will be taking
a bus. Don't
you want to come, too?
KOREAN JACKS by Peter, Amber, Natalie, and Gabbie
Have you heard of Korean Jacks? They are fun to play with.
How do you
play? Well, you need five jacks and you roll them on the ground.
Then you
pick one up and toss it at the same time grabbing another one.
There are
many different levels. We play mostly at lunch recess on the
lower field.
We like to play Korean Jacks because it is fun. You should try
it!
THE LAST DAY by Matthew, Daniel, Bailey and Crissy
Yipee!! School is over on the 15th of June. We are so happy and
a little
bit sad. We will have a minimum day and get to leave school at
12:15. Oh!
No! Report Cards! Our End of the Year Party will be Wednesday, the
14th.
We will be having a pizza party, buffalo wings, hot cheetohs, sodas
and ice
cream sundaes. We will also be watching a Charlie Brown movie.
We told
Mrs. Walker Charlie Brown is our favorite and she said she would find
us a
movie! Wow! This year went by soooo fast! There's only a couple
more days
until summer vacation. I bet a lot of people are going on vacation
or
summer camp. Bailey and Crissy are both going to summer camps
on Catalina
Island. We wish you all a great and happy summer!
P.S. Hope you all like the yearbook! Also, have a safe summer and we'll
see
you next year!!
