Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are
they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:29 KJV
Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

The gentle minister's voice cracked as he read the poem about a son. The minister was one who gave and gave to his people but his people didn't know about his own son. They would never know, for this gentle soul came later in his life to
minister to this church and shared not his troubles but his love. His
congregation told each other how much they loved him but did they ever tell him? Then one day this precious soul went on to another pasture. The
people suddenly realized what manna he had given them. Would they ever again be so
fortunate?
O people, if you are blessed with such a minister, tell him before it is too late.

"Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people ... Thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him." - Leviticus 19:16, 17 |
"Spices for anointing oil." - Exodus 35:8
|
Tale-bearing emits a threefold poison; for it injures the teller, the hearer, and the person concerning whom the tale is told. Whether the report be true or false, we are by this precept of Gods Word forbidden to spread it. |
To go before the Lord without anointing is as though some common Levite had thrust himself into the priests office-his ministrations would rather have been sins than services. May we never venture upon hallowed exercises without sacred anointings. |

Tears by Pat Nordman

Tears are often the telescope through which men see into heaven." Anonymous. To think that our great God takes notice even of our tears and saves them as jewels! He promises that those who sow in tears shall reap in joy (Psalm 126:5). Our tears are posted in His book of remembrance, for He does not forget our anguish. His own Son was "a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried" Isaiah 53:3,4. Send a note to Pat Nordman , the writer of this devotion. |

In George MacDonald's stories about Malcolm, he describes the difficult process of taming his stubborn and rebellious horse Kelpie. Clementina sees Malcolms treatment of the horse as being extreme and severe. Later, Malcolm used this to illustrate God's dealings in our lives: |
