Georgia Bockoven - Jane Bonander - Stephanie Bond

Bockoven, Georgia - ALONE IN A CROWD  (Harper - 1995) (4)
Megastar country-western singer, Cole Webster, is burned out and turned off. After a near fatal motorcycle accident, Cole decides to take a break from fame, turning his back on a lifestyle that promises more than it delivers. He sets out to rediscover himself. Holly, having "been there and done that" with a C&W singer, isn't looking for anything more than help in repairing her run-down house. She sees Cole as a down-on-his-luck drifter and takes him into her life.

I really enjoyed this book. The hero and heroine, as well as some of the secondary characters, were believable and likeable. There was little sexual tension or description, as is often the case in mainstream romance. Instead, there was a gradual revealing of a special relationship between two strong-willed people. Cole and Holly learn to accept and love each other in spite of circumstances that are hard to overcome. I highly recommend ALONE IN A CROWD. The last scene is worth the price of the book. ~Connie R. Bonander, Jane - BEDROOM IS MINE, THE  (Precious Gems 25) (5)
I can't contain myself about this book—it's fantastic!  I liked everything about it: the spunky heroine, stubborn hero, great secondary characters, hot love scenes, humorous plot, and the issues of faithfulness and trust. THE BEDROOM IS MINE is set in Twin Hearts, California in 1880, and at only 154 pages, it packs a lot of bang for such a short story! My only regret is that it had to end. ~Anita S. Bonander, Jane - DANCING ON SNOWFLAKES  (1995) (3)
Susannah had an abusive husband, but when he tried to hurt their son, she ran away. Although Nathan was hired to find her, would he really believe all those awful rumors about her?  ~Marilyn H. (mlyn@jps.net)

Bond, Stephanie - IRRESISTIBLE  (Harl. Love & Laughter 14) (5)
Absolutely one of the funniest books I've ever read. Ellie is an artist who has been fired from her job. She has also been without a man for 14 months, 5 days, and 2 hours (but who's counting?). So she joins a research group and agrees to test a pill that is supposed to attract the opposite sex. If you want something to make you laugh out loud, this is definitely it!  ~Carol C.
