Elizabeth Elliott - Lyn Ellis - Kathy Lynn Emerson

Elliott, Elizabeth - WARLORD, THE  (Bantam - 1995) (4)
Barnett, Jill - WONDERFUL  (Pocket - 1997) (5)
By a fluke, I read two Medievals back-to-back, and I would recommend both! Each has strong and very likable heroines and heroes you grow to love. Barnett's book is quite humorous, and Elliott's, while having a somewhat dark beginning, keeps you reading into the wee hours. ~Margie B. (dreams@ns.net)

Ellis, Lyn - TALL, DARK AND RECKLESS  (HT 707 - 1998) (3+)
The buddies of Texas Ranger Matt Travis think it's high time their freewheeling pal got hitched, so they place a hyped-up personal ad in a popular magazine (along with Matt's photo) and dub him the "Lone Star Lover." Unaware of their prank, Matt is nearly mobbed by a group of marriage-minded females who believe he is a wealthy oilman looking for a mate. Even the press becomes involved—namely TV reporter, Dee Cates. The happily-single career woman is working on a story about dating in the nineties, but she has an ulterior motive for interviewing Matt. Her father mysteriously disappeared eighteen years ago and she hopes the Texas Ranger will be able to help with some of the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Lyn Ellis has created the perfect hero—handsome, strong, sexy and smart, ruggedly male, yet charming and playful. The mystery is easily solved, but there's plenty of humor, passion and romance to satisfy most readers. ~June F. (bookbug@oocities.com)

Emerson, Kathy Lynn - SIGHT UNSEEN  (Loveswept 883) (3+)
Chase and Leslie meet over the Internet. They discuss all facets of their lives and share their dreams with each other. When Chase gains custody of his teenage niece and nephew, he mentions marriage, and both are surprised when she agrees to the idea. They meet face-to-face for the first time, and each is speechless because of the instant physical attraction between them. A steamy romance with a modern spin.  ~Robin P. (RMPDixie@aol.com)
