Morgan, Rachelle - LOVING LINSEY (Avon - 6/99) (3+) Daniel has been running from Linsey Gordon like she has the plague. It was because of her silly superstitions that both his university fellowship and his engagement ended, and he cannot forgive her for ruining his future. Working day and night in an attempt to live up to his father's high expectations, he is left with no time to enjoy life. Linsey's crazy schemes will soon have the hero's thoughts on more than work, which makes for a funny story. While she is busy causing havoc, Daniel is fighting his attraction to the little hellion. It will take a threat of death before Daniel and Linsey come to terms with their past, present and future. Rachelle Morgan delivers some meaningful messages in this otherwise light, nonsensical tale: how fear can create a need for control; how communication, or a lack thereof, makes a difference in a relationship; and how your inner beliefs strongly influence your actions. LOVING LINSEY is a good read that develops into a great one during the last few chapters, but there is so much emotion at this point that the story ends too quickly. Even so, I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sweet, humorous romance. ~Carol Carter for Bookbug on the Web

Morgan, Rachelle - WILD CAT CAIT (Avon - 1998) (4+) Meanwhile, the legendary "Wildcat Cait" sets a trap to capture the wanted mountain lion so she can transport it to a safe area. Our tenacious hero ends up trapped in her net, and needless to say, sparks fly immediately! Caitlin Perry, a "breed" with Blackfoot Indian and Scottish ancestry, is another tortured soul who carries around baggage from her past. She has been living in the mountains with her pet tiger, caring for injured cats. Cait soon learns what has been missing in her life as she realizes the tiger's company is not enough any longer. She is hungry for human contact, and eventually a relationship develops between her and Ethan. This story has a lot of humor to help ease the angst surrounding the main characters, and it deals with prejudice and small-minded people in a unique way. There are some very steamy love scenes as Ethan succumbs to the lure of "wild" Cait, who is used to taking care of herself. In addition to the humor and sensuality, there is a very tender love story and a message about self-sacrifice. WILD CAT CAIT is a very well-written historical romance, different from the norm, and entertaining to the end. ~Carol Carter for Bookbug on the Web
Morgan, Rachelle - WILD CAT CAIT (Avon - 1998) (4+) In 1887, high in the Montana mountains, lives "Wild Cat Cait". . . accompanied by her friends, the wild felines. Cait trusts no man as they have spent her entire life hurting and betraying her, which is why she lives the life of a hermit. Everything abruptly changes when the nearby town sends a group of men to hunt down a murderous mountain lion. Cait, protecting her pets, catches one of the hunters, Ethan Sawyer, who has chosen a lonely life because of his acrimonious distrust of people. However, the attraction between Cait and Ethan is too big to ignore, and soon the two solitary souls unite in love as they walk down the middle between vengeful townsfolk and a killer cat. WILD CAT CAIT is a unique, sensual western romance that will generate much positive attention towards author Rachelle Morgan, and her previous and future works. The story line is refreshingly environmental without lecturing the audience on our shortfalls. However, it is the lead couple, who prove that it takes two to make the soul complete, who move the readers—leaving the audience crying and laughing, while clamoring for this awesome talent's next novel. ~Harriet Klausner
