by Heather West

I look in your eyes,
and the pain I can't stand
. I just wanna help you
and to reach out my hand.

I'm sorry that there's nothing,
that anyone can do.
We all just wanna save you,
but your life is almost through.

How am I supposed to live
without you here alive?
Who will walk me down the isle?
and who will teach me how to drive?

Who will help me with my homework?
You were always good at math.
You always had the answers,
and you sent me down the right path.

Oh daddy I just wish,
that it were me instead of you.
You're too good of a man
to suffer like this,
please tell me this isn't true.

Please tell me you aren't dying,
just stand up and say it's a joke.
I know this is just a terrible dream,
but I haven't yet awoke.
