The Tear

by NarenC

To such an extent I am not mine
that even my own feelings I do not define.

No matter what it takes
a fortress around me I shall make..

Then nothing could rule me, be it near or far,
and happily I would remain without a scar.

And so soon it's before my eyes,
this latent insensitivity has me surprised.

The fortress I assume is strong,
but reality dawns much before long.

In the cruelest of storms, may it protect I pray,
but a tear from her eye washes it away.
