How many years have to go by before looking back on yourself makes you feel like a stranger? At least two, I've decided. Maybe just one, even.
On May 10, 2003, I graduated from Ashland University with a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing. That night, Brandon asked me to marry him.
On September 20, 2003, I married Brandon Davis Wells, thus becoming Sarah Marie Wells. Here's Brandon and I on our wedding day: ![]() We currently live in Akron, Ohio and are in the process of buying a first house, which has prompted me to update this website. I am feeling old. For a reason I don't quite understand, I am looking back and wondering the question you aren't supposed to ask, "What if?" I started searching for a fulltime job a few weeks ago and have yet to be called, which immediately renders feelings of worthlessness. However, I am also quite busy working on writing projects for our church, which is very exciting for me. Life right now is really exciting - I am married, I am about to own my first house, and I am doing something productive with a seemingly useless degree. What more is there to say except, God is good?

I have been working on and off; between substitute teaching and helping my mom, I make a little bit of money. Like I said above, I have big plans for a full-time job - except the job market doesn't seem to have full-time plans for me. :) In the fall, I will begin a master's program (God willing) in Christian Ministries at Malone College in Canton, Ohio. I am really looking forward to this opportunity as I have a lot of peace about taking this direction. I don't know exactly what that will develop into, but I guess we'll find out! Aside from baseball games, writing, and job hunting, I am watching my friend's son, Rowen, who is quite a fun little guy. He's in second grade and an awesome basketball player. That's about all I know.
I mentioned that I have been writing a lot - here are the links to my two group mailings: <-- End Observation -->
