Lenten Prayer For Catechists
How appropriate, dear God that Lent comes in winter.
Nature is at rest, sleeping and silent, waiting for rebirth.
Lent is about biding time, a time for reinforcing
and re-invigorating our faith and our enthusiasm.
It is that time in the church year for walking with Jesus toward death and through death to resurrection.
That's what I want for myself, Great and Good God, and that is what I ask for my class. Help us to make the journey through Lent united in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
Help us to make our way with Jesus as we confront our weaknesses, and rejoice in our strengths.
May we pass with him through death to the new and glorious life of Easter. Amen.
