efore the establishment of Christianity in England, the main religion was Druidism. Christianity wiped it out for the most part. Amazingly enough however, it's still practised in isolated cases. To find out more, click on the knight below.

ne of the main weapons systems (to use a modern term) in the Middle Ages was the bow and arrow. Many battles were won or lost not by knights, but by the common archer. The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) has vast resources dealing with this subject. Click on the archer to find out more.

ne of the most valuable and well preserved pieces of art from the Middle Ages is the Bayeux Tapistry. It is a gigantic piece of embroidery which depicts the events leading up to, and the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Below is a small section of the work.
