he music you hear (Rachmoninoff's "Variations on a Theme by Paganini") was written in the early twentieth century, and thus may seem a little anachronistic on a site dedicated to Medieval times. It was, however, used as the theme music in the movie "Somewhere in Time". Thus I thought it was appropriate.

rizona (where we live) has three Renaissance Fairs. Two are held early in the calendar year. We attended the one in Apache Junction and had a great time! There's one Phoenix in late September, and we'll be sure to go. For more information about these events, click on the shield below.

he Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris is one of the most famous and beautiful structures in the world. It provided the setting for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame - first a novel by Victor Hugo, several films, and finally a cartoon feature from Disney. Grandma and Grandpa have been there a couple of times, and so has my Mommy, although she was too young to remember it. To see more information about this historic place, click on the name below.

ermany (where my Mommy was born) has lots and lots of castles, especially along the Rhine river. To see some pictures of these castles, click on the icon below.

estminster Abbey has been an important site in England since the year 1066. Almost every British Monarch has been crowned there. My Grandpa has been there and says that with the exception of St. Peter's in Rome, it's the most magnificent church he's seen.
