Mother
As the wind blows through my hair and soul, I feel the peace mother earth had bestowed
upon me. How could we do what has been done for the years past over and over again.
For she is the one that supports us. She is the one that supports us and she is the one that
protects us. When we are bad, she is the one that punishes us. She is the mother we all
have whether we want her or not.
She is the one who has watched us grow from the time we first walked. And she has
watched us fight from the time we first fought. How could one so caring be so abused by
the ones that she created in the womb of her essence? How could we be so abusive to
the one that has forever loved the ones that have hurt her so?
As I look at the clouds that hover over me, I feel a sense of peace that I have rarely felt
before. A love that is eternal. A warmth that she has allowed from her sun. The clouds
take form and speak to me. They tell of dragons and heroes, of wizards and warlocks, of
battles and peacemaking. Characters that have never existed in out reality and beings
that have yet to be.
Spills and fire. Waste and clearance. This is how we repay the one that we cannot see.
This is our thanks for the one that has given us all she has so that we can survive. So,
what does that make us? The dominant species? No. We are just here in anticipation for
the next cycle. She will punish us once again. She will find the perfection. Will it be
us? Only time will tell…
