Background Info: This is a little into the future. No, not that far a few months after Breaking Away. (Just pretend Season 2 never happened). Joey and Dawson decided to stay friends after Joey realised she would prefer to be just friend. Their friendship is pretty much back to normal. Jen realised that she has feelings for Dawson and she is determined to make him feel the same. Pacey has been spending a lot of time with Dawson and Joey lately and is starting to enjoy Joey’s company!

Dawson: Oh, come on Joey its not that bad. You know you’re just saying that because your scared.

Joey: Am not!! (Joey gets off the bed angrily)

Pacey: Are you guys going to carry on like that the whole way through the movie!! ( Pacey had been sitting next to Dawson and Joey and was started to get annoyed.)

Joey: Can we please watch something else?

Pacey: Yeah actually, Dawson, Joey’s right.

Joey: I am!

Dawson: She is?! Since when have you ever agreed with her?

Pacey: I just think we should watch something a lot less predictable. As long as we can watch it in peace. ( Pacey stared at Joey and Dawson)

Dawson: OK but I don’t have anything else here that we haven’t already seen in the last few months. (Dawson turned to Pacey. He had noticed a change in Pacey’s attitude in the last few weeks and was trying to look for signs.)

( Meanwhile, Joey had been staring at Pacey and he started to notice.)

I can’t believe Pacey actually wants to be reasonable. This was strange. Pacey Witter actually has some taste. What am I thinking... Joey’s thoughts were interrupted by Dawson.

Dawson: Joey, Joey, earth to Joey!!!

Joey: What?!

Dawson: What were you thinking about?

Joey: Nothing. And the fact that Pacey looks really cute if you look close enough... Snap out of it, Joey. This is Pacey you're talking about. How can I be thinking like that; boy things are changing

Pacey: well I guess were not watching a movie tonight. So I better get going.

Joey: Yeah, I guess I should too.

Dawson: Aren’t you staying the night?

Joey: I have to baby-sit Alex quite early so I might as well go home now.

(Joey and Pacey head towards the window)

Joey: Later Dawson

Scene: Pacey and Joey outside

Pacey: Do you want me to take you home.

Joey: It’s only over there, I’ll be fine.

Pacey: But it’s pretty late. I would feel a lot better if you let me come with you. (Pacey was looking sincere and Joey was surprised.)

Joey: Well.. If you insist

Pacey: Thanx (Pacey said under his breath but Joey didn’t hear.)

(They both headed towards the boat)

Boy, She looks really pretty in the moon light.... It’s hard to notice when she’s always fighting me, Pacey thought as he looked into her eyes. Joey started to feel a bit uncomfortable and she broke the silence.)

Joey: So, by the way what’s with the sudden urge to be nice to me?

Pacey: What, I’m always nice.

Joey: Yeah sure.

Pacey: Well….. actually I .. um .. I’ve been meaning to ask you something. (He said hesitantly)

Joey: Oh so now the truth comes out. Now before you ask I’m not pretending to be your girlfriend just so you can make that cheerleader what’s her name... Kristy.

Pacey: No I don’t want you to pretend to be my girlfriend! Although the thought had crossed my mind (Pacey started to laugh.)

Joey: OK, so what is it? (By this time they had reached Joey’s house.)

Pacey: I was wondering if youcouldtutormeinbiology. ( He said all in one breath.)

Joey: You want tutoring! Why? (Joey was amazed that Pacey even cared about school.) Pacey: Never mind, don’t worry about it Jo (Pacey turned around and headedback) (Joey stood there for a few seconds thinking, Pacey does care what people think... I knew it. It’s like he’s a different person.

Joey: Pacey! (She called, He turned around and started walking towards her) 11 O’ clock here, OK? ( she gave him a huge smile. He looked up and gave her a smile.

Pacey: Thanx (He walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek and without another word he turned around and walked off.)

(Joey stood there amazed. She actually liked Pacey. They never got along before and now he was being so sweet. After a minute or so she went inside and tried to get to sleep. But all she could think about was Pacey and their little kiss.)

Scene: Jen comes through Dawson’s window

Dawson: Joey, (Dawson said not realising who had come. Dawson had just finished watching Scream, the film Joey had turned down and was getting ready to sleep.) Jen! (Looking surprised Dawson gets up to help Jen) Sorry I didn’t mean to call you Joey, I’m not used to people other than Joey using the window.

Jen: It’s OK, I thought it was a bit late to use the door and I really needed to talk to you.

Dawson: It’s OK. So what’s on your mind?

Jen: It’s about us.

Dawson: "Us" I thought there was no us.

Jen: It doesn’t have to be that way! I.. I... I guess what I’m trying to say is that I was us to be together. I miss you Dawson!

(Dawson sits down looking a bit shocked and a bit confused)

Dawson: I thought we sorted this out months ago.

Jen: We did, but I cant deny the feelings I have for you any longer.

Dawson: I don’t know Jen, I’m….I’m going to need time to think about this.

Jen: OK you know where to find me.

(She turned around and left through the window. Dawson lay back and sighed. I don’t need this right now, he thought to himself)
