Pacey: Wake up sleepy head, (Pacey touched Joey, trying to wake her but she didn’t move much) You look so beautiful when your asleep. (He leaned over and kissed her on the forehead, he didn’t realise that Joey was actually awake)

Joey: What! She sat up still half asleep. Did I hear right? Pacey thinks I’m beautiful!

Pacey: How come your still sleeping?

Joey: Alex kept me awake all night! (She got up and went into the bathroom)

Pacey: Oh, so do you still want to do this tutoring thing today.

Joey: Yeah sure! I’m just getting changed. (She called from inside)

Dawson: (*I wish I knew what to do about Jen. I hate talking to Joey about her but I really need to talk to someone.* Dawson looked at the phone,) I guess I’ll just have to call

(Dawson picked up the phone and phones Joey) RING! RING! RING!

Joey: Can you get that for me Pacey! I’ll be out in a sec.

Pacey: Sure! (Pacey picked up the phone) Hello.

Dawson: Pacey! (Dawson said a bit shocked.)Pacey: Hey D man how you doing?

Dawson: I’m fine Pace. Is Joey there? (Dawson was very surprised at Pacey being there. The only time they talk is when they see each other by chance and now Pacey’s going over to her house.

Pacey: Yeah hang on. Joey it’s Dawson.

Joey: Yeah I just finished getting dressed.

(Dawson heard what Joey had said from the other end. Pacey and Joey? This is too weird. For a second Dawson even forgot why he called after what he had heard something was definitely going on.)Pacey: OK later Dawson

Dawson: later Pace.

Joey: Hey Dawson what’s up?

Dawson: Nothing much. Just needed talk to you that’s all. (Jen’s proposal of getting back together came rushing back into his mind.) Can you come over?

Joey: Well I’m a bit busy right now, I’m going tuto.. (Pacey quickly interrupted her, He stood their begging her not to tell Dawson about the tutoring.) I’m going to go to the video store with Pace and pick up a film for tonight.

Dawson: You're going with Pacey? You mean YOU and PACEY! Joey: Yeah, What’s so wrong with that? We obviously have better taste than you. (silence - Dawson could sense that Joey wasn’t telling the truth so he decided to leave it) I’ll come over in a couple of hours OK?

Dawson: OK, Thanx Jo

Joey: It’s OK Dawson. See ya.

Dawson: Bye Joey.

(While Joey was talking to Dawson, Pacey had been staring at her. How come I never noticed Joey before? She was wearing her white jeans shorts and a half top. It was a very hot day and everyone was hot. Pacey was wearing one of his favourite shirts with his top four buttons undone.)

Joey: Why didn’t you want Dawson to know that I was tutoring you?

Pacey: I don’t know. I would just prefer it if no one knew. (Joey looked surprised)

Joey: What am I supposed to say when Dawson’s asks why your always here. It’s not like its realistic that I would just want to spend time with you. (Joey was just joking and was expecting a flashy come back from Pacey but he seemed a bit upset about what she had said.)

Pacey: Look.. Maybe we should call this whole thing off.

Joey: No. I’m sorry! Look we’ll do a couple of hours of study. Then we can take a break while I go and see Dawson and you go find a video for tonight.

Pacey: OK

(Pacey and Joey concentrated on their study and not much else was said, although a lot was thought)

Dawson: I wish I knew what I feel. I don’t know if I should give Jen a second chance, she broke my heart once she might do it again. I wish Joey would get here soon.

Joey: Your wish is my command!

Dawson: Joey! Your here oh thank god, I was about to go insane.

Joey: Yeah Dawson I’m here. So what did I hear you say about Jen?

(They both sat down on the Docks and Dawson explained everything that had happened with Jen the night before)

Joey: Do you like her?

Dawson: What? That doesn’t matter.

Joey: It does Dawson.

Dawson: Yeah sure... I mean she’s fun to hang out with.

Joey: Well, If you think your ready then maybe you should start going out with her again. You might want to take it slow though, rushing just makes things worse.

Dawson: Yeah, so if I tell her we can go out a few times but still see other people, then I can see how I really feel about her and we can still go out.

Joey: Yeah. You don’t have to be exclusive.Dawson: Thanx Joey.

Joey: No problem Dawson. (Joey stands up) Look... I have a bit of time before Pacey comes to pick me up so…… (Dawson interrupted her)

Dawson: Pacey! He’s picking you up?

(They head back to Dawson’s house)

Joey: Yeah… He’s um going to help me baby-sit Alex. So I can get some studydone.

Dawson: Oh. (Dawson gave Joey a suspicious look)

Joey: Look.. there’s nothing wrong with me and Pacey hanging out. I am getting a bit sick of all the suspicious looks. (Joey said that in one breath and was very defensive.)

Dawson: OK. OK. I won’t say another word.

(Just as they were about to head up the ladder, Pacey turned up.)

Pacey: Hey guys! (Pacey turned to Joey) You ready?

Joey: Yeah

Dawson: Why don’t you guys come in?Pacey: Sure

Joey: No…. um Bessie will be bringing Alex home soon.

Pacey: Alex! (Pacey was surprised but Joey quickly nudged him.) Oh yeah Alex

Dawson: OK see you at 8.

Pacey and Joey: OK bye Dawson

(Pacey and Joey headed of and Dawson went upstairs.)

Pacey: What was that about?

Joey: You have to study remember.
