Hi, I am Deane P. Goodwin, nice to meet you, sort of. For those who have a need for demographics, I am 46, married, have 4 children, two grandchildren, and live in the frozen wastelands of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Now that we have that out of the way..........

I have been writing since I could hold the crayon. I started writing seriously when I was about 15, and have had a continuous love/hate relationship with the Muse since then. I am by profession a mental health supervisor at a private group home, a field I have worked in since my 20's. In addition to the mental meanderings you have just been subject to, I write rules for wargames, scenarios and supplemental material for Role Playing games, and technical material within the Mental Health industry. I have been known to write fiction on occasion, but always wash my hands afterward. I believe the only form of writing I have never attempted is Stage and Screen. My work has been published in various electronic and print media. I also write a bi-weekly poetry colomn for a local newspaper, and have recently been named runner-up Poet of the Year for 1998.

I have now become fascinated with the creative possibilities available on the Internet, this page being the natural culmination of that curiosity. It has been a great learning experience, as well as a creative challenge to piece this site together, in equal mixture of elation and frustration, stirred, not shaken.
