Matthew 6:24-34
24 Nobody can serve two lords because he/she will either hate one and will love the other, or be devoted to one and will despise the other.
(=Luke 12:22-34)You cannot serve to God and the wealth (the luxury, the money) 25 Therefore, I tell you: do not worry about your life, about what you will eat, nor about your body, nor how you will get dressed. Is not life much more than food, and the body much more than what you dress ? 26 look at the birds of the sky: they do not sow, nor they harvest, nor they pick up at the barns, and your celestial Father feeds them. Do not you worth more than them? 27 Which of you, no matter how much effort you make, can increase only one cubit to the duration of your life? 28 and why to trouble yourselves about what will you dress ? Consider how the lilies of the field grow; they do not work nor they entrust. 29 however, I tell you that Solomon in the peak of his glory did not get dressed as one of them. 30 if God dresses the herb of the fields that today grows and tomorrow will be thrown to the fire like this, the more to you, men of little faith? 31 do not afflict you, nor you say: What shall we eat? What shall we drink? With what shall we get dressed? 32 the pagans are those who worry about all this. Your celestial Father knows that you need all this. 33 look in first place for the kingdom of God and justice, and all these things will be given to you in increment. 34 do not worry about tomorrow: tomorrow will have its own concerns. For each day a care is enough.
