A bit of Poetry...
A Summer's Day
by Raven Moon
A breeze blowing
gently
a stream flowing ever so softly
I hear your voice calling my name
though many times but never the same.
I can hear you
I can feel you
I can see you
but I can't touch you.
Its times like this I
remember you
All those years spent together
how can they be over forever?
I miss you my friend
I hope you are in a better, safer place
and no more harm can come your way.
You will never know how much
you meant to me
because you were taken away before I had the chance
so I make it a habit everyday
to tell someone dear to me
you matter to me
I care about you
I love you.
For I never will forgive myself
for letting days and years go by
without telling you
that you matter to me.
Peace to be with thee...
In memory of Lisa Trusnik-McCoy,
I will remember you always...
Love Child
by Raven Moon
Bringing life into the world is truly
a miracle
such a sacrifice was made to save you child
may you bring laughter and joy into the world
your mother was so meek and mild.
The angels are surely taking care of
your mother
so to make sure that you are never afraid to love another
always keep her memories close to your heart
because her love for you would never part.
May the Goddess be with you everyday
to bring you the love that she would have given you
always try to make everyday bright
so you'll never be blue.
In memory of Darlyn Coleman
may the angels always walk along side of you...
Enough to
make Angels weep
by Raven Moon
Life in today's world is so over
wrought
50 years ago who could have thought
Our children shooting each other
starving themselves, growing so weak
taking drugs to think they will escape reality
parents can't speak its almost unreal to much to uncover
It has to start somewhere do not be afraid to speak
do not them be some fatal technicality.
If you see something that could be
wrong
speak now our it may be to late and they'll be gone.
Show them love and comfort and support
don't wait till it ends up in court
Our children is our world's tomorrow
If they're gone there will be only sorrow.
Catechism For A Witch's Child
by J.L. Stanley
When they ask to see your gods
your book of prayers
show them lines
drawn delicately with veins
on the underside of a bird's wing
tell them you believe
in giant sycamores mottled
and stark against a winter sky
and in nights so frozen
stars crack open spilling streams of molten ice to earth
and tell them how you drank
the holy wine of honeysuckle
on a warm spring day
and of the softness
of your mother
who never taught you
death was life's reward
but who believed in the earth
and the sun
and a million, million light years
of being.
Amazing Grace
by Verna Knapp
Amazing grace, how sweet the Earth
that bore a witch like me!
I once was burned, now I survive,
was hung and now I sing.
T'was grace that drew down the moon
and grace that raised the seas.
The magic in the people's will
will set our Mother free.
We face the East and breathe the winds
that move across this earth.
From gentle breeze to hurricane
our breath will bring forth the change.
Turn towards the South and feel the fire
that burns in you and me.
The spirit's flame will rise again
and burn eternally.
We greet the West, our souls awash
in tides of primal birth.
Our tears and blood, our pain and love
will cleanse and heal the earth.
Reach into the North and know your roots
down deep ancestral caves.
We find the wisdom of the Crone,
Of circles we are made.
Amazing earth, enduring life,
from death into rebirth.
T'is earth I am and earth I love
and earth I'll always be.
Amazing grace, how sweet the Earth
that bore witches like we.
We once were burned, now we survive,
were hung and now we sing.
Goddess bless, so mote it be,
Our magic spirals on.
Merry meet and merry part
and merry meet again.
