Mysterious Voyage

Come with me and we shall fly,
Through autumn mists,
To heavenly.
Through our wings the wind shall hiss,
Yet though out hearts a phantom cries.
We plunge back down to the earthly hell,
And ensnare ourselves in it's mystic spell.
Try as we may, we cannot flee
Yearning and longing for the word we call, "free".

Come with me and sail the seas,
Follow the stars and the southern cross,
Into where all hearts flow,
Returning to Earth with the midnight sun.
Through the seas the freedom swims,
But our phantom shrieks our captive whims.
We sink below to darker waters,
Where heavy are the burdens we bear.
Try as we may, our will falters,
Grasping and gasping for the word we call, "air".

Come with me, and ride the plains.
Follow the bird's song, follow your heart's song,
Mother Earth, guide us home, for countless days we shall roam,
Searching for the spark to light our fires.
Our phantom weakens, our fears calm,
One more day, one more hour,
And we shall know.

Welcome home, what have you learned?
For how many years have you yearned?
You sought our freedom, your cross you burned.
You sought out air, your soul had churned.
And now I see the truth you find.
This Mysterious Voyage…
Was all in your mind.
