One day C.E., L__, and I went to High Point. My name is C__ and I am going to tell you about when we went to High Point. This is how it was.

It was a hot Saturday. It was about 98 degrees Fahrenheit. C.E., L__ and I decided to go to High Point to get C.E.'s mom a couch for her birthday.

We drove in my 1998 Dodge. It took 1 hour to get to High Point. Because if you didn't know, High Point is the biggest furniture industry city around! So when we got there, we went to Helieg Myers. We looked at a black leather recliner.

C.E. said, "I love that chair!"

"I do too,"said L__.

Then I said,"I don't love it but it will do, I guess."

So we went to the cash register. The cashier rang us up.

Then he said, "That will be $450.00, sir."

"$450.00! said C.E.. "But I only have $250.00!"

"Well, I guess you could wash the floors to pay me off."

So we started to wash. It took five hours to mop, vaccum and sweep that place. I vaccumed, C.E. mopped, and L__ swept. We felt tired after that. We also felt sad, because we hadn't had enough money.

I sat down in C.E.'s mom's chair.

Then C.E. said, "Get out of my mama's chair!"

Then I popped out of the recliner. We stood around for awhile.

Then I said, "Let's go!"

So we loaded up the chair. Then we drove off.

C.E.'s mom loved the chair. We gave it to her when we got there and you know what we haven't been back to that store since!
