Preparation

Prepare the ritual space, tracing out the Circle in the physical. Set up the altar toward the North side of the Circle. Prepare yourself by cleansing your body and clearing your mind. Put on your robe and/or cord and jewels. HP, HPS, and Summoner gather near the Altar. Everyone else sits quietly centering themselves near outside the Circle near the Eastern side of the Circle.

HPS Lights the Fire saying:
"Awaken now, Spirit of the Old Ways!"

Attunement

After a few minutes the Summoner begins to chant.

Guardians of the dreamtime, shapes and forms,
Roots of the mountain, silent and deep
Earth Spirits dreaming, awaken to our touch
Shapers of the crystal, Shapers of the leaf
Shapers of the valley beneath our feet

Casting the Circle

HP casts the circle, walking deosil around the circle with athame, visualizing a line of blue fire growing at the edge, and saying:

I conjure thee, Circle of power,
to form a boundary between the material world of humanity
and the realms of the spirit,
a guardian and a protection
to preserve and contain
the power we will raise within.
I bless and consecrate this circle.

The Challange:

HP makes a door way at the east and challenges all who enter, saying to first person:
It's better that you should rush upon this blade than enter with fear in your heart.
How do you enter?
Answer: with perfect love, and perfect trust.
To all others HP asks: how do you enter?

Asperging

HPs touches the athame tip to the water and then to the salt saying:

I cleans and purify thee, O creature of Water
casting out all impurities which may lie within.

I bless thee, O creature Earth
that you may dwell within our circle tonight.

HP pours the salt into the water and walks clockwise around the circle sprinkling it with salt water.

Calling the Quarters

Four volunteers from the Grove call the Quarters. They draw an invoking pentagram in the air and say:

EAST: Feather
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the East,
Powers of Air, mind and imagination.
I call upon you: the breezes, winds and zephyrs ...
grace our circle with your Presence this night.
Great Eagle of the Eastern Skies,
I summon, stir, and call Thee up!

SOUTH: Russell
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the South,
Powers of Fire, passion and energy.
I call upon you: the fiery rays of the sun,
the dancing flames of the hearthfire,
and the deep heat within the Earth's core...
grace our circle with Your Presence this night.
Red Lion of the Southern Desert,
I summon, stir, and call Thee up!

WEST: Nickolas
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the West,
Powers of Water, intuition, and emotion.
I call upon you: the mountain streamlets,
the mighty rivers,
and the vast oceans ...
grace our circle with Your Presence this night.
Sweet Dolphin of the Western Seas,
I summon, stir, and call Thee up!

NORTH: Dan
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the North,
Powers of Earth, sensation, and all things material.
I call upon you: the towering mountains,
the fertile plains,
and the enduring bedrock...
grace our circle with Your Presence this night.
Black Wolf of the Northern Forest,
I summon, stir, and call Thee up!

Stating the Purpose

HP holds Athame above head with both hands HP says:

Hail to the Elements at the 4 quarters! Welcome Lady and Lord to this rite!
We stand between the worlds with love and power all around!

Set down the Athame.

HPS pick up goblet and pour a little into cauldron or on the ground to honor the Lord and The Lady with "first Libation".

HPS says:

The Goddess of summer walks through the land with the God of the forest,
and the dark time of winter is behind us.
The May Queen, and the Green Man bestow their blessings upon the Earth and
all of it's creatures.
We who are their children, rejoice with them
and ask that their happy union become the example for humanity to live and love in hamony!

HP gives the flower or crown to the HPS and embraces her as the Goddess.
The rest of the group follows one at a time. HP leads the way, spiraling clockwise from the Altar to a circle around the Maypole.

Raising Power: Chanting & Drumming Works of Magick

HPS holds Goblet in both hands and says:
I greet the time of unions, and give honor to the Lord and the Lady for their fruitfulness!

HP holds Athame in both hands and says:

As Male joins Female for the benefit of both, let the fruits of their union promote life. Let the Earth be fruitful, and let her wealth spread throughout the planet.

HP inserts Athame into Goblet.
Replace Athame and Goblet on altar.

Cakes and Wine

HPS Blesses the cakes/breads/food saying:

This food is the blessing of the Lady and The Lord, given freely to me.
As freely as I have received, may I also give food for the body, mind, and spirit to those who seek such of me.

Libations for all. HPS first, then HP, then deosil to rest of group.

Farewell to the God

HP says:

Lord of the forrests, Green Man, You have blessed us with your presence, with your fire, passion, and laughter, we bid you Stay, or Go in peace.

Farewell to the Goddess

HPS says:

Lady of the Magick Moon, Beloved Queen, You have blessed us with your presence, with your grace, love, and beauty. We bid you Stay or go in peace.

Dismissing the Quarters

North says:
Depart in peace Elemental Earth. My blessings take with you.

East says:
Depart in peace Elemental Air. My blessings take with you.

South says:
Depart in peace Elemental Fire. My blessings take with you.

West says:
Depart in peace Elemental Water. My blessings take with you.

Opening the Circle

HP says:
Beings and powers of the visible, and invisble, depart in peace!
May you aid in our work, wisper in our minds, and bless us from the otherworld.
May there be harmony between us.
Our blessings take with you.
The circle is cleared!

Recall the circle in widdershins saying:
The circle is open, yet the circle remains as it's magickal power is drawn back into me.
With harm towards none, and for the good of all, so mote it be!
