Preparation

Prepare the ritual space, cleaning the room or altar. Set up the altar. Prepare yourself by cleansing your body and clearing your mind. Put on your robe and/or cord and jewels.

Attunement

All sit quietly in the circle and center.
After a few minutes the Summoner, Dancing Rabbit, lights a sprig of evergreen and says:

As this symbol of winter is consumed by Fire
So our darkness is consumed by the Light.
Now heed the words of our High Priestess.

Asperging

HPs, LunaShadoe, points the tip of the athame at each in turn, visualizing them glowing with a pure light and says:

I exorcise thee, Spirit of salt,
casting out all impurities which may lie within.
Likewise do I exorcise thee, Spirit of water,
casting out all impurities which may lie within.

Place three athame-tips worth of salt in the water and mix them deosil (sunwise, clockwise). Sprinkle the area and participants with salt-water walking deosil around the circle beginning at the north, saying:
With salt and water I cleanse and purify thee.
Thou children of magick and light.

Casting the Circle

HP, Russell, casts the circle, walking deosil around the circle beginning at the north with his athame, visualizing a line of blue fire growing at the edge, and saying:

With athame bright
I concecrate and invoke thee
O circle of magick and light.

Calling the Quarters

North, Bocecia, takes the athame in right hand and with the tip of the blade, draws a pentagram in the dish of earth. Saying:
O Lady and Lord
I offer to thee
This symbol of Earth
So mote it be

East, Feather, lights the incense saying:
O Lady and Lord
I offer to thee
This symbol of Air
So mote it be

South, Sharky, lights the Red Candle saying:
O Lady and Lord
I offer to thee
This symbol of Fire
So mote it be

West, CJ, touches the athame tip to the dish of water saying:
O Lady and Lord
I offer to thee
This symbol of Water
So mote it be

Invoking the Goddess
HPs, LunaShadoe, lights the cauldron and invokes the Goddes saying:
Lady Brigid, Keeper of the Fire, Goddess of the Hearth.
We call you to our circle!
Fill us with your wisdom!
Teach us your arts!
Let the old ways live again
And let us feel your presence within our circle!

Invoking the God
HP, Russell, crosses his arms over his chest, forms the sign of the Horned One with his fingers, and invokes the God saying:
Lord Herne, Horned One, God of the Wilds,
We call you to our circle!
Fill us with your joy!
Show us your paths!
Let us celebrate this night
And feel your presence within our circle!

Stating the Purpose

HPs, LunaShadoe, says:
Though it be yet darkest winter
We see the promise of returning light.
The flame of the Goddess burns through the coldest night.
We are assembled to cleanse ourselves of all things negative,
To see a bit farther along the path,
And to practice our craft in safety.

Drumming and Chanting

Rising, rising. The Earth is rising.
Turning, turning. The tide is turning.

She changes everything She touches.
Everything She touches changes

And we can rise with the fire of freedom.
Truth is the fire that burns our chains.
We can stop - the fires of destruction.
Healing is a fire running through our veins.

Workings of Magick

Drumming continues as the members meditate silently seeking within for negative feelings that they are ready to release. Feelings of anger, grief, pain, and the like are put on slips of parchment and cast into the Cauldron of Transformation and Rebirth where they are burned as the members chant:

Chalice and Flame,
Cauldron of Change.
We have the Power
To Heal and Reclaim.

Cakes and Wine
HP, Russell, blesses the beverage and the cakes saying:

Blessed be the grape and grain.
Blessed be the sun and rain.
Blessed be the life and death.
Blessed be the labor and rest.

The chalice and platter are passed deosil around the circle saying after the HPs, LunaShadoe:
May you drink deep of life.
And may the bounty of the earth fill your table.

Farewell to the Goddess.
HPs, LunaShadoe, says:

Gracious Lady, thank you for your presence with us tonight.
Let your wisdom go with us as we leave this circle.

Farewell to the God.
HP, Russell, says:

Gentle Lord, thank you for your presence with us tonight.
Let your joy go with us as we leave this circle.

Dismissing the Quarters
Join hands and walk doseil chanting:
Air moves us
Fire transforms us
Water shapes us
Earth heals us
And the balance of the wheel goes round and round.
And the balance of the wheel goes round.

HPs, LunaShadoe, takes up the broom and sweeps around the circle widdershins.

HP, Russell, says:

The circle is open but ever unbroken.
Merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet again.
