Preparation

Prepare the ritual space, cleaning the room. Set up the altar including: 4 point candles [green, yellow, red, and blue], a red, brown, white, and a purple candle, salt, water, athame, wand, wine and corn bread. Decorate the altar cloth with fall leaves, pine cones, acorns and indian corn.
Prepare yourself by cleansing your body and clearing your mind.

Attunement

Sharky lights the white candle

Dan leads the Grove in "John Barleycorn".

Asperging

Sharky exorcises salt and water by placing tip of athame in each and visualizing all harmful contaminants being swallowed by the atmosphere saying:

I do exorcise thee, spirit of water, making thee pure.
I do exorcise thee, spirit of salt, making thee pure.

Sharky then takes 3 athame tips of salt and mixes into the water, then sprikles the altar and all participants.

Casting the Circle

Feather takes wand and walks clockwise around circle saying:

I conjure thee, O Circle of power,
to let no evil or harm penetrate it's boundries
and to let only goodness and love emminate from within.
I hereby consecrate this circle.

Calling the Quarters

Dan lights purple candle saying:

O mighty, Akasha,
Great Spirit of the Universe.
We ask your power and presence in this rite.
Fill our circle with your omnipresent force on this Mabon Night.

All participants face direction of Element being called. Caller lights appropriate candle.

Russell: I call upon you, Element of Earth,
Guardian of the five sences.
Black Wolf of midnight,

Nonnie: I call upon you, Element of Air,

Stating the Purpose

Sharky:
Mabon is a time of the Mysteries. It is a time balenced on knife-point when Darkness overtakes Light; when those things planted at Ostara are harvested. Let us celebrate the bounty of the harvest!

Raising Power

Dan begins to drum and chant and the participants join in visualizing the Sun's energy glowing within the various fruits and vegetables on the altar:

We Have All That We Need.
Full Blessed Children Of Earth
Light Shines Bright On Our Faces
Giving Love, Illumination, Peace...

Work of Magick:

When the chanting reaches it's peak, each participant extends receptive hand toward the altar and visualizes the power in charged items streaming toward them.

Cakes and Wine

Sharky takes the bread blesses it and passes it to the right saying:

We give thanks for this bread,
Gift of Lord Mabon.
May you never hunger.

Feather takes the wine blesses it and passes it to the right saying:

We give thanks for the wine,
Gift of Lady Modron.
May you never thirst.
