Hi. Thanks for visiting my page. I didn't mean to imply that everything has to be "proven" in a scientific manner. What I was trying to express was the unscientific philosophy at the basis of modern science which turns science into a religion rather than process of inquiry and often blinds the practitioners to other possibilities. The great majority of what we experience does not need to be proven, but just believed, but I am cautious about accepting too much that is unproven on faith lest I begin to bel eve strongly in things that I have absolutely no way of validifying -- this could lead one to become a blind follower and would ultimately numb any sense of awe, which is the opposite of what I had in mind. In my article about UFO's, I wasn't trying stead astly to deny their existence -- I said quite explicitly that such a denial is absurd -- but my point was that even if they do exist, it wouldn't explain the obsession and manic interest that many people show in them. Thus this interest points to a deeper urge than mere curiosity.
