"Fuck!"
The word heartfelt yet said quietly enough that only the speaker could hear.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!"

Using a reflection caught in the rear windscreen of a parked car he checked behind him again. Yes they were still there, still following him with intent. Cursing his luck silently Cormac tried desperately to think of a way he could avoid any obvious confrontation. There was only a certain distance he could move from the front door of a certain shop before he would be out of position and yet his instructions distinctly included avoiding any kind of scene.

What to do? Desperation settled on him, the cloying fear of failure constricting his chest making it difficult to breathe.

Having run out of room he turned back to face the threat head on, knowing that there was no denying the inevitable. He watched in morbid fascination as they approached him, blatantly sizing him up with their manic eyes.

As the distance quickly disappeared they spread out into a semi-circle denying any possible escape. There was a long moment as they stopped then the leader stepped slightly closer than the rest and addressed him.

"Wanna buy some cookies mister?"
