INSTRUCTIONS
Online Spy Tools Disk:
Disk Contents:(6 Files)
1. readme.txt - This instruction file.
2. spy.htm - An online investigative directory of information sources. Simply open this file while you're online, click on the link, and go directly to the web page (if your browser supports this function.)
3. Invest.exe - Your offline source for Investigative Sources. Just click on the file to run the program.
4. WhoAmI.htm - An online directory of genealogy sources. Simply open this file while you're online, click on the link, and go directly to the web page (if your browser supports this function.)
5. WhoAmI.txt - A text file version of the directory of genealogy sources.
6. WhoAmI.doc - A Microsoft Word document version of the directory of genealogy sources.
Netscape and Internet Explorer Users:
There are 2 parts to this disk to use the Online Tools:
Sign on to your internet service provider. Open your web browser.
Click 'File' at the top left and scroll down to 'open file' in browser. Browse until you find 'C: drive' and double click it. Double click the folder 'SpyTools'. Click on 'Spy.htm' or 'WhoAmI.htm' then click OPEN.
Offline Investigative Sources: To access this part of the disk:
View the contents of the C: drive. Double click on 'SpyTools'. Double click on 'INVEST.EXE'.
AOL USERS:
There are 2 parts to this disk to use the Online Tools:
Sign on to AOL. Go to the Internet, After you open the AOL web browser, type:
C:\SpyTools\spy.htm or C:\SpyTools\WhoAmI.htm - then press 'ENTER' that will start the links section.
Offline Investigative Sources: To access this part of the disk:
View the contents of the C: drive. Double click on 'SpyTools'. Double click on 'INVEST.EXE'.
