The Viper Roadster was introduced in 1992, along with the promotional TV show Viper. Originally, the roadster had side exhaust (a la Shelby Cobra. But was modified to have rear exhaust in 1995, which boosted horespower to 415bhp. In 1996 the roadster was fitted with the coupe's engine, giving it a hardy 450bhp.
