    The Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress offers online books that describe and analyze the background and the social, economic, political, systems of over 100 countries.

    Foreign Government Resources on the Web
    University of Michigan Documents Center offers links to information on foreign governments by geography or by subject. Includes background information, economics, foreign policy, politics, and statistics. If jump points don't work, use site map.
