1st Kentucky Vollunteers - Co. 3 - Alexander Guards
- Based out of Raleigh, NC, the Alexander Guards are a group of men and women that strive
to preserve the history of the United States. The unit meets for fellowship and the
attempt to show the public a glimpse of 1860 life.
The 1st. Louisiana Cavalry Regiment, C.S.A. -
sometimes referred to as "Scott's Cavalry Regiment", served with distinction and
honor throughout the War Between the States and earned their "right of passage"
into American history.
Adjutant's Call - Wayne Beauford - it's my hope that you are here to gain
some insight into our Southron history in general, and the hobby of "civil war"
re-enacting in particular. This information is not meant to glorify The War Between the
States. It's intent is to aid in understanding the people, places, and things encompassing
the period of 1861-1865.

17th Virginia Calvary - Company F -
Company F, 17th Regiment Virginia Cavalry, also known as the, "Night Hawk
Rangers," was organized near Roane County on January 28, 1863. Company F. had 113 men
from Roane,
Jackson, Wirt, and Wood Counties Western Virginia. The company was under the command of
Captain James S.A. Crawford. The 17th was part of Jenkins-McCausland Cavalry Brigade until
disbanded at Lynchburg, Virginia, on April 11, 1865.
