Having mellowed out from the music showbiz for
the past two years, Sammi Kao (or Go Sheng Mei) has released a
brand new album under a new record label.
Containing a total of twelve tracks, over
half of the songs here (eight to be exact) are actually cover
songs. Out of these eight covers, six of them were
originally sung by male singers such as You Hong Ming's
"One Day Ten Thousand Years" (or Yi Tian Yi Wan Nian),
Andy Hui's "Shang Xuan Yue", Andy Lau's "Ice
Rain" (or Bing Yu), William So's "I'm Sad For
You" (or Wo Wei Ni Shang Xin) and Phil Chang's "Rain
Keeps Falling" (or Yu Yi Zhi Xia). The remaining two
cover tracks originally peformed by female artistes are Cyndi
Yao's "Too Late" (or Xiang Jian Tai Wan) and Na Na's
"Goodbye Love" (or Bie Lian).
Coming to the new works, a note-worthy
mention is that the title track "Deep In Heart" is
produced by female lyricst Ding Xiao Wen.

For those fans who caught their very last
farewell concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in May 2000,
they may want to grab this live recording release.
Although this is the Taiwan concert recording, most of the songs
here have been featured in their Singapore performance,
including some cover tracks like David Tao's "Angeline",
Zhang Zheng Yue's "Love Me Don't Go" (or Ai Wo Bie Zou)
and Maltida Tao Jing Ying's "Leave Me" (or Li Kai Wo).
It also includes some new cover numbers
that are not sung in the local concert, such as, Daniel Chan's
"I Know It Better Than Anyone Else" (or Wo Bi Shui Dou
Qing Chu), May Day's Hokkien hit "Peter & Mary"
(or Zhi Ming Yu Chun Jiao) and Cai Rong Zhu's "Don't Even
Have A Dream" (or Lian Mong Ye Mei You). Refer below
