亞洲一線音樂精英
打造華人世界共同的感動
|
Now that Na Ying has jumped ship to Warner
Music, her ex-record company EMI Music has released her very
first collection album.
Containing a total of fifteen tracks, the
compilation encompasses many of her chart-topping hits during
her three-year stint at EMI Music. They include
"Conquer" (or Zheng Fu), "Clear Cut"
(or Gan Cui), "Heartbreak Romance" (or Xin Suan De
Lang Man) and her early hit "Daylight Doesn't Understand
The Darkness Of The Night" (or Bai Tian Bu Dong Ye De Hei).
Refer below for the full song listing in Big5 Chinese. Quite
a good collection, I must say.

SKY WU (WANTING) (SONY MUSIC)
(FEB01)
|
伍思凱加盟新力首張國語專輯「想念」
2001
新「伍」式音樂運動
全面展開囉
|
Since joining Sony Music and releasing a
successful collection album "Sharing
With Sky 1988-2000 Collection", Sky Wu (or Wu Si Kai)
has finally come out with a brand new offering.
Containing a total of eleven vocal tracks
and one interlude number, all the songs (except for one) are
composed by Sky himself. What's more, all the tracks are
produced by him.
The first single cum title track
"Wanting" is a catchy light-tempo song, with lyrics
written by Yao Qian. A note-worthy mention is that Sky
went all the way to England to seek the flute that was used in
the movie theme-song of the Leonardo DeCaprio mega flick
"Titanic". As a result, one can hear the flute
being utilised in the music arrangement of a few tracks here,
including the first single "Wanting".
Other highlights :-
- he sang his own work "The Other
Side", originally performed by Elva under the name
"Weather Outside The Window" (or Chuang Wai De Tian Qi). Personally I preferred Sky's version as his music
arrangement plus his heartfelt rendition touched a chord in me.
- there is a Mandarin duet "The
Message For 2001" (intermixed with
Cantonese lyrics written by Lin Xi) sung with CoCo Lee (or Li
Wen). The Mandarin lyrics is written by Wu Xiong, the same
guy who wrote A Liang's rap hit "Zi Yue".
- Other nice tracks include the
easy-listening and light-tempo "A Patch Of Sky" and
the moving Irish-flute ballad "If You're Willing".
Overall, a worthy album which is packed
with radio-friendly tunes.

RECORDS) (JAN01)

台灣第一支美聲團体--IPIS蟑螂 只想回歸最原始的音樂本質
用音符來傳達這簡單的感受
|
After the lacklustre performance of their
previous offering "Give
Me A Hand", followed by an absence from the music scene
for one year and eight months, the sibling vocal group IPIS (or
Zhang Lang) is finally back with a brand new album (side-note :
they reportedly dabbled in Taiwan musicals during this period of
absence).
Produced by, among others, Huang Yi, Chen
Zi Hong and their long-time Filipino music collaborator Ryan
Cayabyab, the album contains a total of ten vocal tracks which
come in the form of R&B, folk, dance and rock.
The first single is the dance track
"Forget Who I Am" which contains an extract of the
oldie of the same name. The second single is the ballad
"This Is Love" which is written by baby sister
Jennifer.

After the success of his debut album "I
Love A Liang", TV host Bu Xue Liang has come out with
his sophomore effort.
Spotting a cowboy image, A Liang's latest
offering is produced by, among others, Huang Shu Jun and Cao Jun
Hong. To tie in with his popular mass-appeal TV image, his
album contains mainly catchy tunes that are acceptable to kids
and adults alike. Just like his previous release, the
songs here are a combination of rap, light dance and ballads.
His first single "Get Up Song" is
a light-tempo kiddy song that is taken from a popular Japanese
tune. Other note-worthy tracks include two duets, one sung
with TV host partner Huang Zi Jiao called "Pals" and
another duet "As Long As You Are In My Heart"
performed with a popular Taiwan Internet mascot.
As the album is released around the Lunar
New Year holidays, the first batch comes bundled with
red-packets and new-year banners which are bound to please the
parents who are buying the CDs for their children. Talk
about shrewd marketing.
