            Steve Ford/W1AW to be SkyQuest 2 Net Control




In a wonderful show of support for SkyQuest, Steve Ford of QST
magazine has offered to serve as the HF net control for the SkyQuest 2
launch this Saturday.

He'll be using one of the W1AW transmitters packing 1500 watts
of SSB power at 3.860 MHz  (+/- qrm)  starting at 1300 EDT, 1700 UTC.
This will allow for a few minutes of check-ins before the flight
begins approximately 15 to 20 minutes later if all goes as planned.

The Taunton launch crew will relay to Newington the news of liftoff
as soon as it occurs.

The SkyQuest team would like to sincerely thank Steve for this
great boost he's provided to our whole operation.
