Comments: Another cooler than normal month, the 10th month in a
row with below average temperatures. The month averaged below normal because the daily high averaged 2.5 deg. below normal, the daily low averaged exactly normal. This made for a very comfortable month... The month's high temperature was only 82F. This ties my 23 year record for the lowest high temperature for August. August, 1992's high was also 82F...No daily temp. records were set this August... Rather wet month-about a half an inch above normal...10 days in a row with fog-July 31 to August 9...Month's low barometer of 29.89" not that low...Meteorological summer is now over--Average temp. of 68.4F was 2.2 deg below normal;Precip. total was 10.34", 0.49" above normal.
