A word about the author: A.H. Kamminga Oosterstationsstraat 15 9981 CE UITHUIZEN The Netherlands E-mail: mrahk@hotmail.com The author of this site is A.H. Kamminga, also known as KAMMAH. I live in the Netherlands in the province of Groningen. Maps by www.expediamaps.com I was born on 3 July 1970. Educational background I have studied biology on the University of Groningen and I am graduated in biotechnology, one of the biosciences that's why the author is working on a biosciences page. So now I am alumnus of the Groninger Biologen Club (Association of Biology students in Groningen). Working experience I have been involved in Drosophila (fruitfly) research for a period of 2½ years as volunteer-researchassistant in a PhD project. Before my graduation I've done two projects: - 7 months in Drosophila research (same project as described above). - 9 months literature research about structure, function and biogenesis of the yeast plasma membrane. This has lead to a large report. That makes a research experience of 3 years in a laboratory environment and about 4 years in total. I am co-author of two scientific publications. Current situation I am still looking for a job: preferably in the IT or in one of the biosciences.	Skills and qualities (short curriculum vitae): Research: Experienced in all (bio)chemical-, biological- and protein-chemical techniques. Information technology: Experience with several popular applications on: - Textprocessing - databases - spreadsheet Experience with programming languages: - BASIC (detailed knowledge) - PASCAL (detailed knowledge) - ASM - UNIX Articles: Co-author The plasma membrane of Saccharomyces cerevisiae: structure, function, and biogenesis. Enzymic properties of alcohol dehydrogenase of Drosophila simulans. Substrate specificity and substrate activation, (submitted).
