There may be Virtual Particles constantly appearing and disappearing in what appears to be empty space. They may appear by chance as though we live in a Universe of infinate probabilities and anything which is not specifically forbidden may occur. These possible virtual particles would occur in pairs of particle and anti-particle so that they would almost immediately annihilate each other.
