FORNAX

Generalities: it is a southern constellation deprived of  particularly bright stars. It transits at midnight in November.

Origins and mythology: it is one of the so-called “modern” constellations, since it was introduced by Lacaille in the eighteenth century. The first name assigned to it was "Fornax  chemica", that is chemical furnace.

Stars: the Furnace shows only a star under  magnitude 4. It is alpha, of magnitude 3.87, white-yellow color, 60 light-years far.

Other objects: it is characterized by a cluster of very  weak galaxies, but visible with good amateur tools.
