Generalities: it is a small constellation of the southern sky, deprived of particularly bright stars. Its transit at midnight takes place in August.

Origins and mythology: it is a "modern" constellation, introduced by the astronomer Bayer in the seventeenth century.

Stars: it shows two stars under  magnitude 4. The brightest star is of magnitude 3.11, it is of orange color and is 125 light-years far.
